Validation of an adaptive personality questionnaire for selection and development
by Richard T. Justenhoven, Katharina Lochner & Achim Preuß
The adaptive, computer-based questionnaire shapes was designed for assessing job-related traits in an unsupervised online mode. The construction as well as the adaptive measure method are being explained in detail.
In study 1, the test-retest reliability of the instrument is examined (N = 517). The personality traits measured by shapes show mostly high to very high reliability, according to Bühner (2006). In Study 2, to test construct validity of the questionnaire, the scales are correlated with those from the NEO-FFI (N = 68). The correlations found support the validity of the instrument.
